Project Management for Arts and Design
I work with creatives and businesses to turn their ideas into reality.
From coordinating a series of exhibitions and events across multiple venues to subtitling a documentary or launching a charity's web presence, I take the reigns behind the scenes. Keeping a keen eye on the technical details without losing sight of the bigger picture. Let's make great things together.
What I do
Project management, curating and production in the creative sector
Film, Design, Web, Contemporary Art
A mobile app MVP for a start-up
Contracted as a product manager, I worked with the founders of Folkalist and an external team of UX/UI designers and web developers over the course of 3 months to develop and document a minimal viable product of a mobile application, delivered on Apple's Testflight for beta testing in late 2020.
A digital archive for an arts organisation
For design agency on-IDLE I delivered an award-winning digital archive for East London arts organisation Four Corners. I worked with the client from the start to define the structure of the archive. Over 10 months, I managed the project through the design and development phases to its successful online launch in June 2018, working closely with the graphic designer and web developers.
A series of exhibitions of Swiss design
For the Swiss Cultural Fund in the UK I coordinated a series of 21 exhibitions of Swiss design titled ambit. The exhibitions running from 2016-2018 included graphic, textile, furniture and book design and typography. I liaised between the commissioner, the venue, and the artists in advance of the exhibition and was responsible for the smooth running of all installations and de-installations.
Subtitles delivered to a tight deadline
I had been keen to expand my experience in the film industry and got my chance working with Zero One Film on the documentary 24H Europe, which aired on ARTE and its European partner channels in May 2019. I transcribed, translated and cued the subtitles from Swiss German into English and delivered the final files to a tight deadline.
A profile of an iconic performance artist
I visited the Scottish sculptor, performance artist and painter Bruce McLean in his studio in London. We talked about his latest work, the state of contemporary art, boredom, and humour. The material was published as a written interview with accompanying pictures in Dash Magazine, Issue 5.
Exhibition builds for London galleries
Through exhibition design and fabrication company Exhibition Continues and my own company Coco Projects, I managed art handling and exhibition design, fabrication and installation jobs for exhibitions at the Serpentine Gallery, Pace Gallery London and Modern Art Oxford, as well as exhibition stand and showroom design and build jobs for Design Junction, London Fashion Week and a variety of other clients.
Project Management and Production
I’ve been a Project Manager since 2013, working with galleries, design agencies and art organisations in London, Switzerland and internationally. My background in History of Art, Curating Contemporary Art and Media Studies gave me a passion for concepts that challenge the status quo.
I believe in straight forward communication and shaping mutually beneficial partnerships. When we work together, expect outside-the-box thinking and a questioning mindset (what do we do and why) paired with a can-do attitude focused on the end result: creating engaging experiences for human beings.
Sound interesting? Say hi.
